Fast & Fabulous
This is the card we did in our technique class tonight where we learned to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig. It used the Fast & Fabulous #120133 Level 2 Hostess stamp set from Stampin' Up!s 2010-2011 IBC. The sentiment is from Favorite Thoughts #120048 (personally one of my favorite sentiment sets). We used Cherry Cobbler #119685, Pear Pizzaz #119795 and Whisper White #100730 CS as well as Basic Black #101179 and Cherry Cobbler #119669 ink. We also used the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker #119681 to Spritz the image and the Pear Pizzaz Marker #119801 (set of 5 In-Colors) to color the green leaves and stems. Then added a touch of Pear Pizzaz ribbon #119265. Want to know how I made the decorative edge to my sentiment? Below you can find the link to 4shared.com to a tutorial for creating the decorative edge! Clink on this link for access to the FREE tutorial.

Sparkle on Deck the Halls
This card is so beautiful in real life. I used another scrap of Deck the Halls DSP # 120810 and strategically placed the top layer onto Old Olive #100702 CS which I mounted on Very Vanilla #101650 CS. Then I cut out two sets of poinsettias in detail, brushed them with Versamark #102193, covered them in Heat and Stick Powder #100625, then set with the heat tool#100005. I then added Dazzling Diamonds #102023. Dimensionals #104430 were added between the two layers of poinsettias then added to the card with dimensionals to give added dimension to the overall card.

Just Believe
This is a great card to do at a workshop to introduce the new CS colors to your stamping customers. The stamp is from the new Just Believe set. The sentiment was inked using Stampin Write Markers #119806. The scrap strips of CS were punched using an old standby of mine, the Eyelet Border punch #119853. For interest I added some of the clear Bitty Buttons #118761. It a nice crips, clean looking card and a great way to also use up scrap strips of CS

Deck the Halls
This very blingy 4x4" card was designed to use a small left over scrap of the Deck the Halls DSP #120810. I cut around the image and placed it on top of a Cherry Cobbler #119685 frame which was mounted on top on a Crumb Cake #120953 and another Cherry Cobbler mat. It was decked out with rhinestones #119246 and a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370.

Teddy Bear on a Onesie
This is the cutest Card. Perfect for a baby shower or baby announcement. No babies in my family right now....so I guess I'll just have to keep this one. I've seen many versions of this card on blogs all over the web, so I can't remember who I got the idea from. However, the punch art teddy bear on the front was something I came up with. Isn't it just the cutest thing....and can you tell what in it's mouth? A pacifier, cute huh? Look at those tiny little toes....just makes you giggle doesn't it! The base card is Whisper White CS #100730, trimmed in the Blushing Bride DSP out of the Hostess In-Color paper pack. I used 1 1/4" circle #119861 and scallop circle #119854 punches to cut out the trim for the neck and legs. Punched 1/4" circles for the snaps at the bottom. The sentiment is from Hostess gift Occasional Quotes. Video on how to make the bear will be coming this weekend.
The baby Onesie was inspired by Ilina Crouse.

Deck the Halls act 2
This is another 4x4" card perfect to tuck inside a Christmas gift. It was made with a scrap of Deck the Halls DSP #120810, mounted on Cherry Cobbler #119685, Crumb Cake #120953 and Old Olive #100702 CS. It is topped off with rhinestones #119246 and a piece of Early Espresso 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon #119964.

Peaceful Season
This picture does not do this card justice. It is really G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S and has lots of beautiful sparkle from the Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I've been using it a lot lately....more than I ever have before. Maybe it's because the Holiday season is upon us, but mainly I just love SPARKLE. But like many of you I always grumble because it seemed to get all over the place....but I came up with a solution. I've discovered that the color catcher #121093 is NOT just for over spray of Shimmer or Smooch mist. It's great for keeping the embossing powders all in one area too. Anyway on to the details of this card. I used the Petals-a-Plenty #116824 embossing folder with Versamark on the debossed side of the folder....added the front of my Whisper White #100730 card and ran it through the Big Shot #113439. This left Versamark in the recessed areas of the petals. I sprinkled on Iridescent Ice embossing powder #101930 and set with my heat tool #100005. Talk about beautiful. I just wish everyone could see this card in person. I stamped the Dove and leaves in Whisper White Craft ink #101731 on Whisper White and sprinkled on Iridescent Ice, then heat set. I then took sponges with Cherry Cobbler #119669 and Always Artichoke #105219 and went over the top of the dove and leaves with berries. I cut these out to place on the card. For the sentiment I stamped it in Versamark ink #102283, then into Cherry Cobbler ink, so it would remain wet enough for Iridescent Ice embossing powder to stick to it, I then heat set and mounted it on a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS #105123 that I punched each corner with the Scallop Trim Corner punch. I tied a large bow of 1 1.4" striped Grosgrain ribbon (Real Red #119768) around the card to add a finishing touch.

Day of Gratitude
This was a quite and easy card I did today. But it is oh so striking and elegant. Perfect for that Thanksgiving Dinner Invitation or a gorgeous 'Thank You' afterwards for your hostess. I used the Day of Gratitude stamp set (p.7; #121148 clear mount or # 120835 wood mount) in the new Holiday Mini catalog. I stamped the large medallion stamp with Versamark onto Always Artichoke CS and then sprinkled with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and set with my heat tool (p.196 #100005 IBC) to make a tone on tone look. On the Whisper White CS mat I stamped the leaves from the set in Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder to make a white tone on tone look. I stamped the sentiment from the set on the card base. I hope you enjoy and please take time to leave a comment. I love to read them.

Stampin' Up! Step It up!
Well finally I have done it. I have been wanting to make a video demonstrating how to make a card for quite some time. I finally got up the nerve to just bite the bullet and get on with it! Now please be nice to me.....don't make me cry. I was limited on the editing software I had to use....Promise I'll do better next time! The card I chose is a stepped up version of a card on Sandi MacIver's blog. I'd love it if you left a comment!

Paisley Prints Swap
Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a great day so far. I made this card for a swap group I am in. It uses thel leaf from the Paisley Prints stamp set, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Peach Parfait CS as well as some Vellum CS. I used the baby wipe technique to stamp the leaf in the reinkers on the baby wipe and stamped it on vellum CS. I used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (which had been inked with Soft Suede) on a piece of Peach Parfait.

Tag using Leaves #2 Sizzix Die from Stampin' Up
This was a fun afternoon project, I just grabbed all sorts of CS and things that are in my stash (code for not Stampin' Up materials). My main focus was to create a tag to hang on the door of my studio that represented Fall. If you clink on the picture to enlarge, there is a definition of the word Fall. Cleaver huh! The fall leaves were cut out of Brushed Gold CS and run through the Big Shot using the Leaves #2 Die. Then I put the leaves in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot. Next I used reinkers and tapped ink (Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard) all over the embossed leaves and had to heat set to dry the reinkers. The base of the tag was covered in coordinating inks and stamped with the Charming Stamp Set. I attached a myriad of ribbons to the top and Presto! A Fall Tag. I hope you enjoy!

Artistic Etchings
The gorgeous cards were inspired by the awesome Diana Gibbs. You can click on her name to go see her beautiful cards. I did these for a technique class and everyone had a wonderful time. Except for the different accent colors, the cards are the same. On the top 2/3's of a piece of Whisper White cut at 4 x 5/14 I placed it in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, that had been brayered with Crumb Cake, and ran it through the Big Shot. On the bottom 1/3 I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot with just that area inside the embossing folder. I used Artistic Etchings and Elizabeth stamp sets for both of these cards. I hope you'll try this technique. It was so much fun to do. Thanks Diana!

Thanksgiving Pumpkin-Can you Guess? Contest
Oh boy, was this fun to make. You'll never guess what I made the pumpkin from. So the first person to guess correctly will win this gorgeous card and free instructions. Papers used were Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Whisper White and Glossy CS. The leaves were embossed with gold embossing powder on whisper white and then painted with re-inkers (Old Olive, Cajun Craze, More Mustard). The sky was made using glossy card stock and a sponge with Marina Mist with a scallop circle punched out of a scrap of CS and sponged on the glossy CS to make clouds in the beautiful blue Autumn sky. The pumpkin was embossed with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder in the Big Shot.

All a Flutter
This is a very simple card made using the All a Flutter Stamp Unfortunately, it will no longer be available after August 31. You still have until then to purchase it. The inspiration for this card came form Spitcoast Stamper CherylQuilts.
I freehand cut the curve and using the 3/4" circle cut out 7 circles and then using stamps from Itty Bitty Bits stamped them in Blushing Brinde on Whisper White. I added a pearl to a few and popped up every other one on a dimensional. The butterfly was embossed with Black Embossing Powder and colored with Stampin Write Markers. Since you are visiting my blog, please take a minute to leave me a comment. Thanks for looking!
Elegant Lines, Presto Patterns and Extra Large Scallop Circle
| This card is one I made for my convention swap. I had lots of nice comments. It was inspired by Patty Bennett. I changed mine up a bit using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and the Presto Patterns DSP. I colored the Presto Patterns DSP with Peach Parfait reinker and a sponge, then misted with Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with water in a sprayer. I used the same shimmer mist on the Center of the flower that was embossed with the Perfect Polda Dots Embossing Folder. Since you are visiting my blog, please leave me a comment. I love to read them. |

Happiness Shared
This gorgeous card was made using my new favorite stamp set from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog, Happiness Shared. The inspiration came from a friend of Diana Gibbs, Tracy Altemose. This is one of the most elegant cards I have ever made. Thanks for the inspiration Tracy! I used the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to emboss the top half (Blushing Bride) of the Top Note Die and the Cherry Cobbler Background Layer. The bottom of the Top Note is Pink Pirouette cardstock. A layer of Pear Pazzaz also outlines the Top Note. I used Crystal Effects to give the flower a dimensional effect and pearls to accent the final card. Please leave a comment. I always enjoy what everyone has to say.
Presto Patterns and All A Flutter
This is a very elegant card. It was inspired by zainy3018 on Splitcoast Stampers. I love using the Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper. You can make it an color or combination you want. I chose Pear Pazzaz and Concord Crush reinkers and sponges to color the background. I think it turned out very pretty. I selected the Stitched Polly Ribbon in Concord Crush for my choice of ribbon. It goes perfectly with the Concord Crush cardstock and background paper. The butterfly stamp set All a Flutter was embossed unsing Black Embossing Powder and colored with Stampin Write Markers. I'd love it if you left a comment. Let me know what you think.

Presto Patterns, French Script, Elegant Lines, Artistic Etchings

This is the card I made for the Over the Top Swap at Convention. I was so fortunate to be invited to go to such a prestigious event. I threw it all in the mix on this one. I used new colors Marina Mist and Pear Pazzaz and old favorite Night of Navy ink. For stamps I used French Script on the background and on the Butterfly. I used a piece of Presto Patterns on the background and the Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch embossed with the Elegant Lines Folder. The butterfly is so gorgeous! I cut it out with the Beautiful Butterfly Sizzix Die, stamped it in VersaMark with the French Script and then tamped Old Olive and Night of Navy chalk onto the VersaMark ink. I topped it all of with beautiful Organza Ribbon and SU's new rhinestones as accents for the Butterfly's body and on the Elegant Lines art piece. I hope you enjoy. Please take a moment to comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts on something I created.

Owl Punch Card
Artistic Etchings and Bella Toile
Oh my I had so much fun making this card recently. I used the Artistic Etchings and Bella Toile stamp sets. I stamped the Bella Toile in Versamark and heat set with Heat and Stick powder. Then sprinkled on Chocolate Supernova Glitter and heated again to set the glitter. Oh so gorgeous! So beautiful I couldn't bear to use the whole sheet I made so I pared it with the a piece of vellum with the Eiffle tower up on dimensionals and some of the beautiful new rhinestone from Stampin' Up! to light the way from the top of the tower. I colored the rhinestones to match the glitter with Copic Markers. Behind the vellum are more of the stamps from the Artistic Etchings set. Finally some chocolate satin Ribbon.

Fifth Avenue Floral

These cards were inspired by my awesome upline Guru Sandi MacIver. I call these my MacIver Roses. As her downline demonstrator I get a copy of all her tutorials to use in my stamping classes and workshops. If you'd like to learn how to use the reinkers to create these beautiful elegant roses from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set from Stampin' Up!, just let me know.

Greenhouse Gala Series
This series of cards was inspired by one of my idols, Patty Bennett. I visit her blog every day and got a chance to meet her at the recent Stampin Up Convention. I used all the new Stampin Up Colors and new In Colors (see the tags below).
