Tag using Leaves #2 Sizzix Die from Stampin' Up

This was a fun afternoon project, I just grabbed all sorts of CS and things that are in my stash (code for not Stampin' Up materials).  My main focus was to create a tag to hang on the door of my studio that represented Fall.  If you clink on the picture to enlarge, there is a definition of the word Fall.  Cleaver huh! The fall leaves were cut out of Brushed Gold CS and run through the Big Shot using the Leaves #2 Die. Then I put the leaves in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot.  Next I used reinkers and tapped ink (Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard) all over the embossed leaves and had to heat set to dry the reinkers. The base of the tag was covered in coordinating inks and stamped with the Charming Stamp Set. I attached a myriad of ribbons to the top and Presto!  A Fall Tag.  I hope you enjoy!

Artistic Etchings

The gorgeous cards were inspired by the awesome Diana Gibbs.  You can click on her name to go see her beautiful cards.  I did these for a technique class and everyone had a wonderful time.  Except for the different accent colors, the cards are the same.  On the top 2/3's of a piece of Whisper White cut at 4 x 5/14 I placed it in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, that had been brayered with Crumb Cake, and ran it through the Big Shot.  On the bottom 1/3 I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot with just that area inside the embossing folder.  I used Artistic Etchings and Elizabeth stamp sets for both of these cards.  I hope you'll try this technique.  It was so much fun to do.  Thanks Diana!

Oh boy, was this fun to make.  You'll never guess what I made the pumpkin from.  So the first person to guess correctly will win this gorgeous card and free instructions. Papers used were Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Whisper White and Glossy CS. The leaves were embossed with gold embossing powder on whisper white and then painted with re-inkers (Old Olive, Cajun Craze, More Mustard). The sky was made using glossy card stock and a sponge with Marina Mist with a scallop circle punched out of a scrap of CS and sponged on the glossy CS to make clouds in the beautiful blue Autumn sky. Presto Patterns and Cherry Cobbler

Although these card look slightly different, they have been made much the same. Presto Patterms DSP was used for the center of the art piece. It was colored with Cherry Cobbler Ink and a sponge from Stampin' Up! The butterflies were cut using the Sizzix Die Beautiful Butterflies

Just Believe

This unique card was made using the Stampin' Up! stamp set Just Believe. The back ground of the art piece was made using the polished stone technique. I used Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue on Glossy Cardstock. I covered the background with two coats of VersaMark and Clear Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. The art piece is mounted on Brushed Gold CS. The back ground piece of Marina Mist is embossed with Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and sprayed with Shimmer Mist to give it a beautiful Shimmer.

Happiness Shared

This card is made with the Happiness Shared stamp set. Colors used are Night of Navy and Yellow Daffodil. The image was colored with Stampin' Write Markers. The art piece was placed on a Scalloped Circle cut out of vellum cardstock and embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Presto Patterns and Beautiful Butterflies

This lovely card was made using the Presto Patterns DSP from Stampin' Up! I sponged the Presto Patterns with Pear Pizzaz and Concord Crush. The butterflies were cut with The Stampin' Up! exclusive die Beautiful Butterflies. The both butterflies are cut out of vellum cardstock. The larger one is covered in Concord Crush ink and embossed with the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The smaller butterfly is stamped using the flourish from the Elements of Style Stamp Set.

Bella Toile and Pear Pizzaz

I made this card for the SUDSOL swap at Stampin' Up!s Ft Worth Regional. Colors used were Pear Pizzaz and black. I cut the Top Note out of Glossy cardstock, stamped the Bella Toile stamp set i VersaMark and covered with Black Embossing Powder and heat set.

All a Flutter

This is a very simple card made using the All a Flutter Stamp Unfortunately, it will no longer be available after August 31. You still have until then to purchase it. The inspiration for this card came form Spitcoast Stamper CherylQuilts.
I freehand cut the curve and using the 3/4" circle cut out 7 circles and then using stamps from Itty Bitty Bits stamped them in Blushing Brinde on Whisper White. I added a pearl to a few and popped up every other one on a dimensional. The butterfly was embossed with Black Embossing Powder and colored with Stampin Write Markers. Since you are visiting my blog, please take a minute to leave me a comment. Thanks for looking!

Elegant Lines, Presto Patterns and Extra Large Scallop Circle

This card is one I made for my convention swap. I had lots of nice comments. It was inspired by Patty Bennett. I changed mine up a bit using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and the Presto Patterns DSP. I colored the Presto Patterns DSP with Peach Parfait reinker and a sponge, then misted with Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with water in a sprayer. I used the same shimmer mist on the Center of the flower that was embossed with the Perfect Polda Dots Embossing Folder. Since you are visiting my blog, please leave me a comment. I love to read them.

Paisley Prints

This new stamp set "Paisley Prints" in the new Holiday Mini Catalog available September 1st, is a very versatile stamp set. Easy to create something for several holidays. I made the clouds with a scallop circle and using a sponge with Marina Mist ink on it, I sponges over the edge of the scalloped circle, moving it around over the page to make what looks like a beautiful fall sky. The bats were made using the edge of the Curly Label punch. The Momma, Daddy and Baby bats flying in to sit on the pumpkins have a Black Rhinestone (also from the new Holiday Mini) as their head. I just have to add some bling somewhere! Please leave a comment, I love to read them. Thanks for visiting.

Happiness Shared

This gorgeous card was made using my new favorite stamp set from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog, Happiness Shared. The inspiration came from a friend of Diana Gibbs, Tracy Altemose. This is one of the most elegant cards I have ever made. Thanks for the inspiration Tracy! I used the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to emboss the top half (Blushing Bride) of the Top Note Die and the Cherry Cobbler Background Layer. The bottom of the Top Note is Pink Pirouette cardstock. A layer of Pear Pazzaz also outlines the Top Note. I used Crystal Effects to give the flower a dimensional effect and pearls to accent the final card. Please leave a comment. I always enjoy what everyone has to say.

Presto Patterns and All A Flutter

This is a very elegant card. It was inspired by zainy3018 on Splitcoast Stampers. I love using the Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper. You can make it an color or combination you want. I chose Pear Pazzaz and Concord Crush reinkers and sponges to color the background. I think it turned out very pretty. I selected the Stitched Polly Ribbon in Concord Crush for my choice of ribbon. It goes perfectly with the Concord Crush cardstock and background paper. The butterfly stamp set All a Flutter was embossed unsing Black Embossing Powder and colored with Stampin Write Markers. I'd love it if you left a comment. Let me know what you think.

Garden Gala is All a Flutter

I really enjoyed making this card using the new Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper and the All a Flutter Stamp Set. The butterflies were embossed using black embossing powder and colored with Stampin' Write Markers. The background of the art piece was embossed with the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Cardstock layers include Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake and Pear Pazzaz. This card was inspired by Kerin Sylvester

Paisley Prints

This card has many layers, as you can see. Several of the new In Colors were used: Pear Pazzaz and Poppy Parade. The background was stamped using the flourish from Elements of Style stamp set. The sentiment is from the same set. The main art piece was made using the heart from Paisley Prints #121121 clear mount (a sneak peek from the new Holiday Mini catalog). I used Stampin' Up's beautiful new pearls to add a little glam to the finished card. This card was inspired by Wendy Weixler (wendybell) on Splitcoast Stampers.

Presto Patterns, French Script, Elegant Lines, Artistic Etchings

This is the card I made for the Over the Top Swap at Convention. I was so fortunate to be invited to go to such a prestigious event. I threw it all in the mix on this one. I used new colors Marina Mist and Pear Pazzaz and old favorite Night of Navy ink. For stamps I used French Script on the background and on the Butterfly. I used a piece of Presto Patterns on the background and the Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch embossed with the Elegant Lines Folder. The butterfly is so gorgeous! I cut it out with the Beautiful Butterfly Sizzix Die, stamped it in VersaMark with the French Script and then tamped Old Olive and Night of Navy chalk onto the VersaMark ink. I topped it all of with beautiful Organza Ribbon and SU's new rhinestones as accents for the Butterfly's body and on the Elegant Lines art piece. I hope you enjoy. Please take a moment to comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts on something I created.

Sense of Time

This card using the new stamp set from Stampin' Up! named Sense of Time was inspired by Sandi MacIver. I used the new Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I put Chrystal Effects on the closk face to make iot look like it is behind glass. I also used the scroll and sentiment from the Elements of Style stamp set. All supplies are listed in the tags below.

Owl Punch Card

The inspriation from this card came from Kari Metzger. I was fortunate enough to attend the Over the Top Swap at a Pre-Convention activity. There were 50 of us there and every card really was over the top. This one was so cute I couldn't resist make it with the new Stampin' Up Owl Punch. Although Kari used the woodgrain stamp on her tree, I didn't have one so I just improvised using a polka dotted paper for my tree and did some inking and distressing to give it a look of having bark on the tree. I also made clouds like Kari did with na scallopped oval and ink on a piece of sponge. What a blast to make!

Artistic Etchings and Bella Toile

Oh my I had so much fun making this card recently. I used the Artistic Etchings and Bella Toile stamp sets. I stamped the Bella Toile in Versamark and heat set with Heat and Stick powder. Then sprinkled on Chocolate Supernova Glitter and heated again to set the glitter. Oh so gorgeous! So beautiful I couldn't bear to use the whole sheet I made so I pared it with the a piece of vellum with the Eiffle tower up on dimensionals and some of the beautiful new rhinestone from Stampin' Up! to light the way from the top of the tower. I colored the rhinestones to match the glitter with Copic Markers. Behind the vellum are more of the stamps from the Artistic Etchings set. Finally some chocolate satin Ribbon.

Elements of Style

These cards were made using the Elements of Style stamp set from Stampin' Up. All supplies are listed below in the tags. This is one of my favorite stamp sets from the new Idea Book and Catalog.

Fifth Avenue Floral

These cards were inspired by my awesome upline Guru Sandi MacIver. I call these my MacIver Roses. As her downline demonstrator I get a copy of all her tutorials to use in my stamping classes and workshops. If you'd like to learn how to use the reinkers to create these beautiful elegant roses from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set from Stampin' Up!, just let me know.

Happiness Shared

This Elegant Card was made using the new Stampin Up Happiness Shared stamp set, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride and Pear Pazzaz Stampin Write Markers. I Love, Love, Love the wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I tied it in a knot on the edge of the card. Let me know if you enjoy this card. I'm always open for your input. Inspiration was from Sandi MacIver.

Greenhouse Gala Series

This series of cards was inspired by one of my idols, Patty Bennett. I visit her blog every day and got a chance to meet her at the recent Stampin Up Convention. I used all the new Stampin Up Colors and new In Colors (see the tags below).

Srping Tulip

This Spring Tulip card was inspired by vadeler on Youtube. I used the Friends 24-7 stamp set from Stampin Up for the background. The Tulip is made using the oval and scallop circle punches. The leaves are made using the wide oval punch. Although I made this card back in the Spring, I am just now getting around to posting it so I don't remember the colors I used. This card was so much fun to make and is loved by everyone that sees it. I hope you like it too.

LNS ATC Challenge

This card is for the LNS ATC challenge. Card base is Whisper White with a layer of Marina Mist tinted vellum that I put through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The ATC was created with Night of Navy Cardstock layered with the new Marina Mist cardstock (with a wide oval punched out of the center) to allow the double vellum butterfly to sit. The larger of the vellum butterflies was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. The smaller was embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder which had been coated with Night of Navy ink and put through the Big Shot. Both butterflies were cut out with the #2 Butterfly Sizzix Die and the Big Shot. I used the Scallop border punch for the left side trim and whisper white 1" circles to create the scallop trim for the right side. The sentiment is from the new Artistic Etching set available July 1, 2010.

Elements of Style

This beautiful card was stamped with the new Elements of Style stamp set. Although Stampin' Up makes wood mounted stamps, I prefer to use the cling mount on clear blocks. This image was colored with Stampin' Write Markers, then distressed and I antiqued the edges with Soft Suede ink. I hope you like it!

This card was created at a workshop in Sequim, Washington in May. The event was hosted by my upline Sandi MacIver of Portland, Or. We had tons of fun and I met many wonderful people. Thanks, Sandi....you're the best!

A Gift for You

I just am crazy about the new ornament punch (#116794, p.25, $15.95) in the new Holiday Mini Catalog. I used the Finial Press Embossing Folder (IBC #115963,p. 195, $7.95) to enhance the red ornament. I embellished the ornaments with my 2 way glue pen and Gold Fine Galaxy Glitter. The background is Brushed Gold CS (IBC #112935, p. 159, $7.95) and a scrap of Old Olive CS embossed with the Finial Press Embossing Folder. I used a piece of twill tape from SU (IBC #116232, Ribbon Originals, p. 182, $9.95). I thought the twill tape had kind of a golden glow that went well with the brushed gold CS. The sentiment is in real red, punched out with the scalloped oval. I used a stamp from the Christmas Punch stamp set (IBC Level 2 Hostess Gift).

Autumn Wreath

Is this a beauty or what? I CASed the idea from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog, p. 92. I used a variety of papers and cardstock. Here is the supply list:
Autumn Traditions #115668, p. 160 (I used one sheet of each design)
Brushed Gold CS #102935, p. 159 (2 sheets)
Old Olive CS #106544, p. 156 (2 sheets)
Mellow Moss CS #106548, p. 157 (2 sheets)
Craft CS #107070, p. 159 (2 sheets)
Gold Embossed leaves from the Autumn Splendor Stamp Set #116503, p. 12 Holiday Mini Catalog painted with an Aqua Painter and ink from Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango, IBC p. 155-157 (Thank you Sandi MacIver for the leaves)
12" wire wreath from craft store, cover with old green ribbon to have something to hot glue the leaves to.
I used the SU Leaves #2 die to cut the leaves.

Altered Candles

I had a fun day on Saturday, just playing with Ideas I had seen on YouTube. I'm not sure exactly who inspired me, but there are several who have videos. I recycled some old candles, I thought this was a good way to give them a facelift. I used the Fresh Cuts Stamps Set (IBC #111634, p.107, $21.95) and Always Artichoke (IBC #105243, p.157, $7,50). I stamped the images on tissue paper. On the larger round candle I wadded up the tissue paper and then stampsed my image. In the closeup you can see the the texture it gave. On the smaller, taller candle I added a littl gold galaxy glitter with my 2 way glue. Then I put the tissue paper in place on the candle and held in it place with a piece of wax paper long enough to wrap around to the back and create a place to hold on to. I used my heat gun to melt the stampsed tissue paper into the candle. This idea will make great hostess gifts for my upcoming workshops and so easy to demonstrate.

It's Snowing....Challenge #41

The sketch for the challenge can be found at LNS Challenge. This was a fun challenge. I had just received the Christmas Punch stamp set (Level 2Hostess Set #115366, IBC p. 14). I created the well for the snow (Dazzling Diamonds #102023 p.180. $4.50, ) with the left over rubber after mounting the stamps. I used the Brushed Gold cardstock (#102935, p. 159, $7.95) for the background and the striped pattern as the accent strip form the Christmas Cocoa Speciality Paper (#116770. p. 20 Holoday Mini Catalog, $11.95). I used SU Fine Galaxy Gold Glitter (#114286 p.180, $13.95 for the set) to top off a couple of large brads from Hodpodge Hardware (#112454 p.178, $29.95).
