Thanksgiving Pumpkin-Can you Guess? Contest
Oh boy, was this fun to make. You'll never guess what I made the pumpkin from. So the first person to guess correctly will win this gorgeous card and free instructions. Papers used were Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Whisper White and Glossy CS. The leaves were embossed with gold embossing powder on whisper white and then painted with re-inkers (Old Olive, Cajun Craze, More Mustard). The sky was made using glossy card stock and a sponge with Marina Mist with a scallop circle punched out of a scrap of CS and sponged on the glossy CS to make clouds in the beautiful blue Autumn sky. The pumpkin was embossed with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder in the Big Shot.

I think you made the pumpkin from a circle, an oval, and a petal from flowers awash. Hope you post what you used if this is not correct. I love the technique and the leaves. I would never have imagined how great this would look. Hope I win!!

kidney beans??? LOL! I have no idea but it is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe scallop oval bigz die minus the scallop part and Did some reshaping????
ReplyDeleteOK Here's a teaser....no one is right.....yet! But two of you are close. think of what I could have used to make the pumpkin pieces (4) as wide as they are. This is a regular size card, so the pumpkin is at least 4" wide.
ReplyDeleteOrnament Punch ?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Thanks for sharing. I think you used the Elegant Lines embossing folder. Mary
ReplyDeleteI was looking at it and thought you used the circle punch, oval punch... and the bird punch? :)
ReplyDeleteDid you use Leaves #2 Die?
ReplyDeleteDarlean
Ok not the leaves or the embossing on the pumpkin....the pumpkin itself. what did I use to make it?
ReplyDeleteElegant Lines embossing folder, Ovals Sizzix Orginals Die for the pumpkin? It is a gorgeous card and I would love to win it!
ReplyDeleteYou used the Flower Big Die
ReplyDeleteSherry...you are mentioning Paper...Peach Parfait, is that what you used for making the pumpkinparts?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I too have no clue!!!
Greetings from the Netherlands
Or how about the Frame, Oval Scallop.
ReplyDeleteMust be made with the Top Note Die with a little trimming!
ReplyDeleteSorry, no correct answers yet! This is harder than I thought it would be, but boy am I having so much fun reading your comments. Keep Trying! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteHi there! My guess is the 5-petal flower from the Island Floral Bigz die. It looks like you cut off 2 petals on one side and one on the other. How did I do?
ReplyDeleteis the pumpkin made with the birds and bloom die?
ReplyDeletethe large oval big shot die? Very nice card. Would love to know the answer as I find i don't invest in alot of seasonal stamp sets, yet my people want seasonal cards...so, keep me posted! thanks!

Is it 'heel grips' as we call them in the UK for the inside of shoes?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't be thin plastic bowl scrappers would it?
ReplyDeleteOr thin sheets of rubber?
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be the leaves #2 die or the birds with leaves & flower die.. it is a beautiful card. I am anxious to hear what you used. Susie soring-48880@mypacks.net
ReplyDeleteare you asking for the material used? if so, it looks like it might have been a soda can with the die cuts from above......susie
ReplyDeletesoring-48880@mypacks.net
Other WAG's - Decor material, or the decals you put on the bottom of a tub to make it skid free?
ReplyDeleteBuild A Flower #2, retired?
ReplyDeleteLooks like panty liners to me.

Oh my, some of y'all are too funny! I have been laughing til tears are running down my face. Doesn't take much to entertain me huh? Anyway, guesses are getting way off base. So let me clarify a little...the pumpkin is made from card stock...I didn't use any thing to make this card that is NOT an SU product. So what tool or die or punch did I use to cut out the pumpkin with (remember it is about 4" in diameter). Think BIG!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry,
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot to read some of the guesses. Ok, here's my first guess. You used the oval scallop frame die and the clear circle die. And if that's not it, it has to be the flower die (114534). All of these are on pg 207 in the IBC. Did I win?
AH...one last try. The Circle Scissors Plus?
ReplyDeletewooooooo Hooooo we have a winner! Congratulations Jean.....my you are persistent! LOL Yes I used the Circle Scissor Plus to cut a circle frame, cut into the pieces I used to make the sections of the pumpkin. Jean email me privately at sherrysinknstamps@yahoo.com with your address.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone that participated today, it was much fun...thanks for making me laugh!
Thanks Sherry! I emailed you the address. I don't know if I would have figured it out without your last hint. You sure gave all of us a fun day of watching and guessing. I think most of us were fixating on the kidney shaped pieces not the bottom circle piece. Looking forward to seeing the tutorial and especially the card up close and personal in all its glory.
