Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #68 Memorial Day Theme

The theme this week on Hand Stamped Sentiments is Memorial Day.  I hope you will join me in celebrating the men and wpomen of our armed services.  We should always celebrate their service but especially on days set aside to celebrate them.  This is a card I have been wanting to do for a very long time.  I travel a lot and every airport I am in I see men and women coming or going from their tour of duty. I always stop and tell them 'Thank You', but I have always wanted to do more to show my appreciation. I know that my little card won't really make a difference in the larger scheme of things....but I just want to do something more to show I appreciate their sacrifice. I carry a supply of these cards with me at all times, then I have one to give to a member of our armed services no matter where I am when I see them.

This card was made with Always Artichoke and Black CS. I stamped the Courage (Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog) stamp set in Black StazOn, colored the stamp with Stampin Write Markers and a white gel pen. Attached a piece of Always Artichoke Grosgrain ribbon and tacked it down with a corduroy brad that I colored with the Always Artichoke marker. If you are interested in this stamp set our any of the supplies that I used in creating this card, please email me at sherrysinknstamps@yahoo.com.

  2. Sherry, this is stunning! I just love how striking this is in Always Artichoke. The colored in flags just pop off the image. I think it is such a great thing that you carry these cards with you to share with military members wherever you are. I'm sure these will be very appreciated. Hugs! :)
