Hand Stamped Sentiments - Banner Bash #81

The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week is to feature banners (using a pennant shape). I kinda did some out of the box thinking on this one and used the pennant shapes from the Pennant Die as the leaves for the flower door hanger that I created. The flower idea came from Lee Conrey using the Flower Folds Die. I used Bashful Blue with Wisteria Wonder sponged on the edges. The pennant die used for the leaves is Certainly Celery CS sponged with Always Artichoke ink. The challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments is to make something with stitching or faux stitching. I think my creativity went out the window with this one.....not my best card, I think...LOL This is my version of faux cross-stitch. Using Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. I used a stamp set from the new IBC Best Friends Forever. Although you can't see it I added Iridiscent Ice Embossing Powder to the heart.,,,IRL it hs many sparkles! I'd love to be your Stampin Up! Hand Stamped Sentiments - Back To School Challenge #79

Isn't this little guy just the cutest? I hope you will join me with your creative talents at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week for the Back to School Challenge. Other than the card base (Blushing Bride) and the first layer (Basic Gray), I used scraps to create with (Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla). I used a the Tasteful Trim Die and a few punches, but mostly cut the shapes free hand. I saw a similar card to this somewhere on the Internet a few months ago. I hope I did it justice. This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we are have a Fancy Folds Chalenge. It is really going to be fun to see what all our participants come up with. I really didn't know where I was going when I started this card. I started folding and trying to create something different than what I had seen in the past. I' don;t even have a name for the fold I used....maybe y'all can help me figure out what I should call it. Flourish Fever - HSS Challenge #77 - Tissue Stamping Technique

I hope you will all join me this week over at the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog in creating a card decorated with Flourishes. The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week is to use flourishes in our creation. The flourish I used is a favorite of mine Baroque Motifs from Stampin' Up! I used it in this gift set using the Tissue Stampin technique. With this technique you take 3 small pieces of wadded up tissue paper. You dab it into an ink pad then dab at different parts of the stamp. You do this with each of the 3 contrasing colors of ink that you have chosen until all of the stamp is inked with the various colors. Before stamping, you need to huff or breath on the stamp. The result is a beautiful stamped image that is multi-color. For this gift set I used Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum. I choose to make a card and attach some charms I had in my stash. I used the new Pool Party and Island Indigo In-Color card stock from Stampin' Up's New Idea Book and Catalog out on July 1st. Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog #71 - Wedding Theme

June is the most romantic time of year... the time that Brides and Grooms decide to tie the knot. Ah, romance is in the air. I love making cards for weddings, so I hope you do to and will join me for the Wedding Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This card was made with several items available only to demonstrators during the Sneak Peek of the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. The card stocks I used iare my new favorites. I think I'll be buying a lot of them over the next two years. They are just two of the new In-Colors (available for two years) Pool Party and Island Indigo. Aren't they just beautiful together? Just YUMMY!!!!! And the Marina Mist Seam Binding ribbon goes pretty well with it also. Also on this card from the new IB&C is the string of dangling crystals stamp. It comes from the new My Friend stamp set. I added the rhinestones so it would look like a chrystal chandelier. From the Summer Mini is the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch that I made the lacy border with and used to trim out the sentiment. To do all the stamping I mixed a little VersaMark re-inker with Island Indigo re-inker and after stamping, added Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Stunning, just Stunning. I will certainly be trying this technique again. It was co easy and the results in real life are spectacular. The other main focal point on this card is the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I embossed it with the Big Shot on the edge of the card stock, cut around it and backed it with the Island Indigo card stock, left a small margin and cut around the same shape, leaving a stunning look for this wedding card. I'm very limited as to stamp sets to use for men or for Father's Day, so I really had to put my thinking cap on. I had to hearken back to the days that I bought gifts for the men in my life and most often a tie was in the picture. So I though why not a tie card....or a card shaped like a tie. So I created my own pattern about 4 x 9" so it would fit in a #10 business envelope, cut it out and glued paper on my pattern from the new Just Add Cake Designers Series Paper from the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. I designed my tie with swirls and flourishes from Baroque Motif (one of my favorite swirl stamps)...stamped it in VersaMark and heat set with Black Embossing Powder. Maybe I should be a fabulous designer of men's ties cause I think my tie is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!!!!!!! I hope you will all join me over at the Hand Stamped Sentiments Father's Day Challenge. Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event

We had such a wonderful time at the Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event on Saturday May 28th using the Strength and Hope Stamp Set from Stampin' Up. Stampin Up donated $2.00 from the sale of each stamp set to Breast Cancer Research. We created 4 cards and 2 boxes that were designed by Sandi MacIver and Lee Conrey (Thanks Sandi and Lee). The designs were fabulous and some of the attendees even learned a few new techniques. We shared lots of fun and laughs. I even had this grand idea of making the big shot "passable" by putting it on my SUcutting mat and sliding it from person to person. Great idea, I thought, because I planned for each person to have their own 6' table. Plenty of room, I thought, until it was time to pass the Big Shot along to someone else and I realized there was no way that was going to happen. Our tables were completely covered with our tools, punches and supplies. I broke out into uncontrolled laughter. Everyone thought I'd lost my mind, until I explained that my grand idea was a huge failure. Then we were all laughing. Thanks Joyce, Anne Marie, Gen and Amy for joining me. It was a huge honor to host this event.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #68 Memorial Day Theme

The theme this week on Hand Stamped Sentiments is Memorial Day. I hope you will join me in celebrating the men and wpomen of our armed services. We should always celebrate their service but especially on days set aside to celebrate them. This is a card I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I travel a lot and every airport I am in I see men and women coming or going from their tour of duty. I always stop and tell them 'Thank You', but I have always wanted to do more to show my appreciation. I know that my little card won't really make a difference in the larger scheme of things....but I just want to do something more to show I appreciate their sacrifice. I carry a supply of these cards with me at all times, then I have one to give to a member of our armed services no matter where I am when I see them.

This card was made with Always Artichoke and Black CS. I stamped the Courage (Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog) stamp set in Black StazOn, colored the stamp with Stampin Write Markers and a white gel pen. Attached a piece of Always Artichoke Grosgrain ribbon and tacked it down with a corduroy brad that I colored with the Always Artichoke marker. Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog #67 - Anything Goes

Ya never know what you'll do what that item you pick up on sale at the local craft store. That's the case with the frame I docorated for my 3-D item this week. I covered it with Glossy Cardstock and created the clouds using a scallop circle and Not Quite Navy ink on a sponge. Then I cut varying size butterflies with the Sizzix Butterflies #2 Die. I cut them in Real Red, Concord Crush and Daffodil Delight and adorned them with Rhinestone Jewels. The card was created in the same manner. I added the sentiment from Word Play. Hand Stamped Sentiments Mother's Day Challenge

I just love how this card came out. SHHHHHHH! Don't tell my Mom, it's for her. It's a surprise! I hope she's not peeking! The inspiration for this card came from Judy Marshall. Thanks Judy, your work is awesome. As you can see I used lots of Old Olive and Certainly Celery for my greens. For the flowers (made with the butterfly punch) I used Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette. The Sentiment is from the new stamp setxxxxx. It is framed with a stamp from the Four Frames set. Isn't it beautiful....one of my favorites! It was colored with Stampin' Write Markers and sponged lightly around the edge with Melon Mambo. The background was stamped with the flourish from the Elements of Style stamp set onto Shimmer paper. Although you can't see the shimmer in this picture....in real life....it's stunning. The Shimmer paper gave the background just the touch it needed to make this a very special card. Hand Stamped Sentiments - Graduation Challenge #64

There is a fun challenge over at the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog this week. The challenge is to make something with a Graduation Theme. I had no idea where I was going when I started this card except for the fact that I wanted to use the word 'Congratulations' from Occasional Quotes and 'Go in the Direction of your Dreams' from Word Play (both from current IB&C). The rest of the card just morphed by itself. At one point I thought the front of the card looked like Hugh Heffner's smoking jacket...yuko...erase that vision! Then I added the graduation cap that pulls out of the top of the card....so I think it turned out kinda cute. I just love how this card turned out. I was at my Mom's house over the weekend celebrating her 84th Birthday. On Sunday we spent the afternoon making cards. She and I both love the 'Mother of Pearl' technique with Shimmer Paint. The beauty of this card doesn't show through in this picture, but in real life, it is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!!! Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #62 - Pink-a-licious

I hope each of you will join me for the Pink-a-licious Challenge at Hand Stamps Sentiments this week. You can use any color of pink to create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D gift item. For my project I created a fun fold window card. I used the Sizzix lattice die for the front panels and enbellished with pearl jewels. Inside the card is stamped with the Baroque Motif flourish in multiple shades of pink and embellished with flowers from the Punch Potpourri Hostess set, stamped in Rose Red and punched with the Boho Blossom punch. I spritzed the entire card in Melon Mambo to give added interest. The Sentiment is from the Clearly for You stamp set. The polka dotted frame is from the Four Frames Stamp Set....a Sneak Peek from the upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #61 - Shadow Box CArd

This week's challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments is to make a Shadow Box Card. Below I'll give you the link to the instructions I used so you can go make your own card for our challenge. On this card I used my new favorite color Pink Pirouette. I don't know why I hadn't used this color much before, but now that I have, expect to see a lot of it. I can only imagine how luscious it will look paired with Early Espresso or Chocolate Chip. But I digress, on to this card....I used the Happiness Shared Stamp Set for this gorgeous Wild Rose design. I just LOVE using this set. It give me the opportunity to "think" I am a watercolorist! Is that a word? Anyway I love to watercolor and the Stampin' write Makers and the Blender Pen make it so easy to create beautiful cards like this. This was a kind of tricky card to cut in the middle, it took a little while to figure out...I didn't want to cut the entire circle as I wanted some of the flower to edge over into the center of the circle so I could cut around it. Make sense? Kinda hard for me to put into words, but maybe you can see what I am talking about. On the back of the shadow box I stamped a sentiment form Occasional Quotes (a Sale-a-Bration set from last yr....bad Sherry, I know) and the single rose and leaf from the Happiness Shared set. Then I sponged certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette in the opening. I think it makes it look like light is shining in form above because of the light green tint at the top. To finish off I stamped the Baroque Motif flourish in VersaMark ink and coated it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat set to give the backgrounds some interest. I added a little dazzling diamonds to the roses and strategically placed some pearls around to add a little more glamour. The beauty of this card really doesn't show through in this picture. You've really gotta see it in person to enjoy its outstanding beauty. SNEAK PEEK - Paisley Petals

Isn't this the most gorgeous Designer Series Paper? It's the new DSP Paisley Petals from the upcoming Summer Mini. I took one sheet and cut out the image to use as the art piece and focal point for my card. The background was spritzed with the Not Quite Navy Stampin Write Marker. A 2 3/4" circle was masked off and sponged with Not Quite Navy. Layers are Not Quite Navy and Whisper White, then was punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. Lovely as a Tree

This beautiful tree full of Spring flowers is the single image from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. The image was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder. I used pastel colors of Stampin' Write Markers to pounce some colorful flower petals on the tree. Then I masked off around the tree and sponged the ground, blue sky and pink blush to the sunrise. The background CS is Pink Pirouette and Springtime Vintage from the Occasions Mini. Because I used the black embossing powder, I decided to back the artpiece and DSP with black, then I wanted to use black tulle with the white organza ribbon that I died with Pink Pirouette as an embellishment. I just love pink and black together. And I really love how this card turned out. I hope each of you that take time to visit my blog this week will join me at the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog for this week's Theme Challenge #60 Blooming Blossoms. I dusted off a stamp set that I hadn't used in a very long time, the Friends 24-7 set. It has some great stamps in it besides the stem of flowers....a flourish, 3 sentiments, and a bird (which I didn't use.). I chose White Textured CS for the Fancy Favor Box and the Butterfly Bookmark (Sizzix Beatuiful Butterflies Die). The card is embossed with the Elegant Lines folder. A piece of the new Paisley Petals is SNEAKING A PEEK from behind the art piece. Both pieces have 2 edges punched with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch. Everything is sponged in Not Quite Navy and colored with Stampin' Write Markers. Inspiration for the card came from a gorgeous Birthday card I received from Debbie Pike.

SNEAK PEEK - FOUR FRAMES meets Elements of Style and Frost Shimmer Paint

This is by far one of my favorite stamp sets, Elements of Style and one of my favorite techniques using Frost Shimmer Paint. It is really hard to capture the beauty of the Shimmer Paint, so you will just have to take my word for it that it is just G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!!! I used Night of Navy to a\sponge around the inside of the Sizzix 3.5" circle, then leaving the mask in place I stamped the Elements of Style Rose and colored it with my Stampin' Write Markers (Pink Pirouette, Pretty in PInk, a touch of Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, So Safforn, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.) The Hummingbird is colored with the Markers also. On this card you're getting a SNEAK PEEK of the Four Frames stamp set that will soon be available in the Summer Mini Catalog. Birthday Bakery

This is a card I made for my Brother-in-Law. I used Not Quite Navy and Bashful Blue mounted on Whisper White for the card base. I stamped the Birthday Bakery (IB &C Hostess Gift) and the Happy Birthday from Bring on the Cake (New Occasions Mini) stamps on Whisper White in Black StazOn and colored it with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. I've been bakin' a cake!

Well as you can see I have been busy baking already this morning. No, not really, but this has got to be the best of both worlds as far as cake goes....Loads of layers, lots of frosting (rhinestones), beautiful decorations (Elements of Style Flourish), and just a few candles. Can you even imagine what would happen if there were 63 candles on this card.....no card left....all burned up! LOL. I thought this was a really cute card idea. It turned out just like it was in my head. So Happy Birthday to Me! (Doin' the Happy Birthday Dance).

The challange this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments is "Inspired by Nature" showing an outdoor Spring photo. I actually joined two photos together that I took last May in Sequim, Wa. I'm not sure what the beautiful flowers are, but they were stunning in real life. The seagull was also taken on the same trip to Sandi MacIver's Spring Card Event in Sequim. I thought it would be nice to add the blue flowers to the seagull picture because the sky was such a gorgeous blue color. I used Night of Navy and Bashful Blue CS to mount the pics with. This was such an easy card to make. I'm really into easy these days. Life is just passing me by way to fast recently. Hence, this is going to be my only post this week. I am at a conference for my day J-O-B and will be extremely busy. Luckily the conference is in town, so at least I get to sleep in my own bed each night. Yea! This is the card I created for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge this week. The DSP on the card base is the new Springtime Vintage in the Occasions Mini. For the Shamrock, I took some VersaMark re-inker and painted it onto a piece of Old Olive CS, sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat set it with the SU Heat Tool to create the awesome glittery Shamrock. I made the Shamrock by using the Large Heart Punch to punch the Shamrock leaves out of the glittery CS. Then I freehand cut the stems for the Shamrock. After asesembling the Shamrock onto the Very Vanilla and Old Olive CS I pierced a hole in the middle for a large Rhinestone brad. The Sentiment is from the Afterthoughts Hostess Stamp Set. "So Into You" Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #57

I hope you are joining me this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments for our weekly challenge. This week the challenge is to use Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride. I decided to use one of my favorite Stamp Sets Just Believe. It is a great set to use the direct to stamp with marker technique. I used Pear Pizzazz for the grass, leaves and stems. I colored the flowers with Poppy Parade and some with a combo of Poppy Parade and Blushing Bride. My base layers are Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz backs the Glossy Card Stock that the images are stamped on. I used a brayer with Bashful Blue to piant the sky and created a rising moon by using Frost White Shimmer Paint inside a 1 3/4" circle punched out for a stencil.

Die Cut Flower Pins

I loved the Koozi so much that I decided to make some pins. I cut the flowers from the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die that is in the new Occasions Mini. I cut the flowers from white felt. I developed a new technique using reinkers and alcohol in a mini mister bottle. It makes the most beautiful flowers that are lighter in the center and darker on the edges. I used an Antique Brad to put the flower petals together. The leaves are from the Island Floral Sizzix Die. They are colored the same way as the flowers. I added my own little flourish using scrap pieces of ribbon and a little piece of black tulle. I think these pins turned out just tooooooo, tooooooo cute. March Technique Class

Isn't this the cutes card? This is the card and calendar we made for my monthly technique class. We tried out a marbleized technique using marbles, re-inkers and Glossy CS. This is how we created the background for the card and the calendar. The shamrock was created using the wing from the two-step bird punch. A piece of glossy CS was used for the sky using a scallop circle and a sponge with Not Quite Navy ink. For the rainbow we put drops of re-inker on a sponge, misted it with water and swiped it across the sky creating our rainbow. A 1 1/4" circle and word window punch were used to make the pot at the end of our rainbow. To create the gold, we used a piece of textured CS, coated it with VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. Then we used the small circles in the Owl punch to make the gold coins. The grass is the 5 star flower punch with the petals snipped into strips and folded in half.

Hand Stamped Sentiments - To "Die" for Challenge #56

I designed this card for this week's Hand Stamped Sentiments. I hope that each of my followers and subscribers will join me this week in the challenge to create something using die cutouts. I decided to use the Beautiful Butterflies Sizzix Die by Stampin' Up!. I cut the butterfly out of whisper White CS and stamped images from the Clearly for You (Occasions Mini) and Bliss (Sale-a-Bration) Stamp Sets. The sentiment is from Word Play. I tried a new combination of colors, Concord Crush and Marina Mist. The top embossed piece was kinda a science experiment. I embossed it with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, then sponged Concord Crush ink all over it. Then I took shimmer mist and sprayed they piece I had sponged and using the sponge smoothed out the shimmer mist and ink so that it didn't look blotchy. It really is a pretty look in real life. I've been wanting to use the acrylic Beveled Windowpanes for a while. The Large Pane coordinates exactly with the large rectangular floral flourish in the Clearly for You Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini. I decided to pair my windowpane with Not Quite Navy ink and cardstock and Springtime Vintage DSP/ To give the Night of Navy CS some interest, I stamped the Bliss flourish in Night of Navy ink, having stamped it off first for a tone on tone look. The sentiment is from the Clearly for you stamp set as is the flourish around it that was modified to fit the med oval punch. It is backed with the Modern Label punch cut in half and trimmed to fit the sentiment. I hope you enjoy this card. Because I Care

I haven't used the Because I Care Hostess stamp set in a long time. I forget just how beautiful it is. This card has many facets. I used the Big Shot and the new Tasteful Trim Sizzix Die to cut the Basic Black scallop trim for the edge of the Pear Pizzazz CS that is stamped with En Francis and embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I sponged the Pear Pizzazz with Always Artichoke ink to give it added dimension. The Hydrangea stamp was inked with Stampin' Write Markers, using the Always Artichoke for the stem and leaves and Concord Crush for the flower. After stamping the image I used a blending pen and ink from the stamped image to add the background color. On the leaves I added a touch of So Saffron ink for highlight. After cutting the image out I added dimensionals and 1/2" poly ribbon for a finishing touch.

Well my vision for this card turned out a little skewed. I guess I should have checked the size of the clothes pins before putting my plan into action. LOL But none-the-less, it still turned out kinda cute. I made the sky with a scallop circle and Not Quite Navy ink on a sponge. The paper and ribbon are From Sale-a-Bration (Ice Cream Parlor). Woo Hoo Free paper and ribbon! The Onsies are from the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel, and colored with markers and cut out. The sentiment is also from Sale-a-Bration (So Happy for You).

Fifth Ave Floral Bouquet

What a g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s bouquet! Wouldn't this make a beautiful wedding invitation/announcement or bridal shower invitation? These roses are what I call the MacIver Rose technique. You can check out Sandi MacIver's blog for additional information on how to make these roses, she has a tutorial. They are very easy and so much fun. I started with a 12 x 5.5" piece of paper. I scored it at 4" and 8.25 leaving folded panels of 4" and 3/75". I placed 3 roses on the front 4" panel and 2 roses are the panel that lies underneath., creating the look of a bouquet. I've had this design in my mind for a while, so I'm glad to be sharing it woth you. I used the Fifth Ave Floral rose and embossed it with white embossing powder. The roses are colored with So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Peach Parfait and Cajun Craze re-inkers. Using the Big Shot, I embossed the base card with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

Yes, it looks like a jeans pocket, but you can use any shape for the pocket that you want. I used blue monocramatic colors for my card (Bashful Blue, and Not Quite Navy) Don't you just love how the Presto Patterns DSP looks. I thought the Paris looked like a jenas logo and the flourish (which I think looks like an embroidered design) is from the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set Bliss. Happy Valentine's Day

I wanted to wish my friends and family, followers and subscribers a very Happy Valentine's Day. This was a fun card to make. I hand cut a large heart, embossed it with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder in my Big Shot and sponged real red ink all over it. I put chunky clear glitter in the centers to add a little sparkle. The DSP I used is Filled with Love along with Blushing Bride CS. The sentiment is from the Filled with Love Stamp Set, stamped and punched out with the Modern Label punch. It's all tied off with a perfect bow of 1/2" Stitched Polly Ribbon in Blushing Bride.

Desk Organizer

I've been wanting to show y'all the Desk Organizer I designed for my technique class. The top pic is the front of the organizer....it uses SU's awesome black CS, cork sheets and 2 coasters. One coaster is covered in cork making it a great place to tack up notes. The other side is a coaster also covered in black CS, the monthly technique is adheared topping it off with a coordinating stamped image. On the bottom is the claendar for the month. Each month the class learns a new technique that coordinates with an image and the monthly calendar. The cool thing about this Desk Organizer is that it is 8.5" wide...big enough to have the cork board, post it notes, a pen and sticky flags. It sits up on little wooden knobs painted black. In the bottom pic you can see the back of the organizer. It has a tray underneath that holds the months that have passed by. Then when a new year comes along, you simply glue the current calendar over last year's and continue yr after yr. By the time we finish at the end of the year, not only will the class have a organizer with a calendar for a whole yr, but a book of all the techniques we learned over the year because each month we learn a new technique while making the new claendar, we will also be making a 6 x 6" page for a technique book we will bind at the end of the year. If anyone is interested in getting instructions, please let me know. I will be putting a tutorial (for the organbizer only, not any techniques) together to sell very soon.

Ice Cream Parlor

This adorable card took litterly less than 5 minutes to make. It's made with FREE paper from the Sale-a-Bration catalog called Ice Cream Parlor. The package of paper has all coordinating patterns/colors and decorative elements and trim. Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog #54

Our challenge this week is to use ribbon and lace on a card. As you can tell I'm still stuck in Valentine mode. I just love Valentine cards....they seem so romantic to me. Anyway this one was very simple. I used Glossy White CS, ran the embossing buddy over it to remove the static, then stamped the Bella Toile Background Stamp in VersaMark, sprinkled on Black Embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool and presto-chango.....a G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S piece of paper to create a beautiful card on. The rest was simple...I stamped the Be My Valentine a la carte stamp (Occasions Mini) in Versa Mark and like the background stamp used black embossing powder on the image. Then I colored the area left white by the stamp with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker and then cut the image out. I glued it to a scrap of Red Glimmer Paper and cut around the heart/banner shape leaving a nice margin so the glimmer paper would show. Before I glued all to the card base, I wrapped the art piece with a piece of lace from my sewing stash and before tying it in a knot, I tucked in some of my my favorite ribbons, 1 1/4" striped Grosgrain Ribbon (black); 5/8" Black Satin Ribbon; and 1/8" Black Taffeta Ribbon, then finished tying the knot. This created another focal piece on the card, a beautiful array of ribbon (scraps). I just love using my scraps. I have a large jar full of ribbon scraps and one for strips of paper also. Ya never know when you might need just a little piece of something.

Blissful Heart

Bev Watt's recent card was the inspiration for this card. Although I did change mine up a bit, sometimes a girl just needs a jump start with inspiration from someone. The trim was created using the Tasteful Trim Sizzix Die out of Basic Black and Red Glimmer Paper. The flourish from the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set Bliss was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with black embossing powder. I wanted to make my card a Valentine card so instead of using the Butterfly from the Bliss set, I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Sizzlit with a Red Glimmer Heart punched with the large heart punch. Base card color is a favorite Blushing Bride accented with Riding Hood Red. I used the punch template from the Mat Pack to create a little interest in opposing corners. It's all topped off with my favorite Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Black.

Heart to Heart Valentine

My friend Lee Conrey inspired this card. This was actually a very fast card to make. The biggest challenge was deciding what size to cut the layers of Whisper white and Riding Hood Red CS. The Heart to Heart punch was used for the hearts out of Red Glimmer Paper. The scallop trim was cut using the Tasteful Trim Sizzix Die out of more Red Glimmer Paper. Letter Full of Hearts

I want to thank Gretchen Barron for the inspiration for this card. I think it is such a different look for a Valentine card. Plus, I love the look of black with the other bright colors...it's kinda non-traditional. Although Gretchen didn't have the scallop envelope (Sizzix die) on her card, I thought it would be so cute to let the hearts look like they were escaping to find their true love. Ahhhhhh, such a romantic. Anyone have a spare Cupid laying around? I think I could definitely use one. The Sentiment is from Word Play stamp set. I used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to inlay the hearts and envelope into the background black CS. This was an good way to use up a lot of scraps. Be My Valentine

This card highlights the Be My Valentine 'a la carte stamp. I used the poppin' pastels technique for the focal image. This technique uses VersaMark to stamp the image, then you use Stampin' Up pastels to color the it. I used several shades of red on the interior of the image and black around the edge. Scrap strips of real red CS and Red Glimmer paper create a frame for the focal image and accent hearts punched with the small heart punch. Well, I've been keeping some very exciting new from my followers and subscribers. I was invited to join the Hand Stamped Sentiments Design Team beginning February 1st. The HSS Design Team members are passionate Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who love a good challenge & the creativity that this sparks.

I hope you'll join in on this week's challenge using the romantic colors of red and black and as a neutral white or very vanilla. These are some of my favorite colors. And you can use any color or shade of red that I wanted. Many of you that frequent my blog will know that I had to throw Cherry Cobbler in there somewhere. Did you notice how I added detail to the Eiffel Tower (Artistic Etchings Stamp Set)? I inked the tower in Real Red and then took my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker and used it to add the deeper color to the edges of the stamp, creating the added detail and dimension. Cool Huh? I love doing stamps this way. I used the same technique on the Amour sentiment from the same stamp set. For the cool technique on the card background. I used a brayer to coat the inside of the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder with black ink, then embossed it leaving the black ink in the de-bossed area (A technique I first saw on Diana Gibbs Blog. Makes it really look old world. Then I distressed the edges of all the white papers, added layers of Black CS and Red Glimmer Paper and finished it off with the luscious Stampin' Up! 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. Two Hearts

This is a classic Valentine card for that special someone. The Real Red Cardstock base was embossed with the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (New Occasions Mini). The two hearts were punched with the heart punch out of Real Red CS and sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink around the edges to give definition. I glued the hearts to a rectangle of Blushing Bride CS then embossed all together with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (Idea Book and Catalog). Other layers are Red Glimmer Paper and Love Impressions DSP (New Occasions Mini). It is topped off with a beautiful bow of white grosgrain ribbon.

Can you tell I've been having fun. I seem to be enjoying punch art more than ever. Can you tell I spent the whole evening giggling while making this card? I have often wondered how the people that are really good at punch art envision what they can do with a particular punch. I've used several punches on this card...the most obvious the large heart and the gondola for the hot air balloon, the Cherry and Candle from the Build a Cupcake Punch.

Christmas Lights

Oh this card was so much fun to make. But I have a couple of confessions to make...my inspiration came from Jackie Topa (thanks Jackie)...and I used DSP from last year (I know, I'm a bad girl...but who could not use up every scrap of this gorgeous flocked paper). OK now that I've confessed, I feel much better and very glittery. I just know one day I am going to have to have the plumber come out to unstop my shower....I can hear the conversation now 'what is this stuff, why is it so shiny and why is it getting all over me". And I'll just laugh and assure him that I have no idea (wink, wink) what it is!

Are you surprised that I used glitter again? You are if you've never seen my blog before. I started out with SU's new Red Glimmer Paper (Occasions Mini Jan 4th) then got out a variety of glitters (p.196 IBC) that SU makes and punched out light bulbs with the new SU Build-a-Blossom punch (Occasions Mini Jan 4th). Isn't it great that Jackie figured that out? I used the end of the Modern Label punch #119849 for the top of the light bulb (I ran the black CS thru the crimper first before punching). For the light cord, I free hand cut a curvy strip of black CS and double punched the small and large ovals to create the kinks in the cord. The background icicles were created with Tombow Multi glue and clear chunky glitter.

Roly Poly Santa

This is the cutest roly poly bouncing Santa. He was an icon I found on the internet last year and I asked Jackie Topa if she could make it into a punch art design and she is so brilliant cause in just a couple of day this cute little guy was in my email.

I know you are probably pretty sick of me using glitter, but I just had to. I really can't stop myself. Is there a support group out there for people with my addiction? All kidding aside, I just love glitter....just ask anyone that knows me....they can see me coming from miles away, I sparkle so much. And don't think you can walk around barefoot in my studio...well I guess you can...but be forewarned it is NOT a glitter free zone. I should make a sign that says that...LOL.

Glimmering Santa

I've seen many versions of this card for the last couple of years. I think it is just adorable. The version I liked the best was by Cindy Lawrence (I'm not sure what her blog address is). As is usual with me, I didn't have some of the things Cindy used in her card, and of course I wanted to put my own spin on my card and you must know that means I gotta add GLITTER!!! And yes, I had to use SU's new Red Glimmer Paper (available Jan 4th) for Santa's hat. Oh powers that be....Please, please, please make many, many colors of Glimmer Paper. OK on to this card...I didn't have a swirly embossing folder like Cindy used on her card, so I decided to use the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. I added clear chunky glitter to the flower centers, to add just a touch of sparkle to the trim on the hat and beard.. I made the moustache from the 2-step bird punch, and used the leaves from that same punch to add the greenery. I hope you enjoy my version, please leave a comment if you do.

Glimmering Ornaments

Months ago I used my Mom's Bella Toile #111598 Background Stamp and created a variety of backgrounds to use at a later time. When I was deciding what to post on Monday, I thought about these beautiful backgrounds I had stashed. I had a hard time choosing which one to use, but in the end I chose this awesome gold on gold background made with Brushed Gold CS #102935 and Gold Embossing Powder #109129. Then the decision was 'what to do with this gorgeous background?' I'm still in a Christmas mood so I wanted to use the ornament punch @119847. And what would look better than red glitter. So out comes Stampin' Up's new red Glimmer Paper #121790....oh but wait you don't have any do you? I'm so sorry to be tempting you like that. Really, I am. You can order it from me on Jan 4th. The base of this card was actually a reject! I know....can you believe it? It's so g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s NOW! There are several steps to making this card ...let me explain:

I took the base (Very Vanilla Textured CS #119951) and drug VersaMark #102283 embossing ink across all 4 edges then dusted with Gold Embossing Powder #109129 and heat set with the Heat Tool #00005. On the next layer 3 3/4" x 5" I added 3/4" strips of adhesive tape around all 4 edges then added Champagne Fine Galaxy Glitter #114286. The art layer 3 x 4 1/4 was stamped with the floral image from Elements of Style #120045 (c) in VersaMark, then dusted with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. I colored the floral image with a blender pen and Blushing Bride #119676, So Saffron #105225, Marina Mist119787, and Pear Pizzazz #119674 ink refills. Dimension was added to the art piece by lightly adding Baja Breeze #111844 ink refill with a blender pen around the edge of the floral image blending it out towards the edge of the paper.

Well, I must admit my inspiration was missing in action today, but when I saw the card Sandi MacIver posted on Tuesday I knew what I wanted to do. I didn't have everything that Sandi used, so I kinda had to ad lib a bit, but I think it turned out really pretty. So sometimes it doesn't matter that you can't make it exactly...go ahead and put your own spin on it. In the end, it's these little differences that set us apart. I'm not going to give out all the dimensions and details as this was Sandi's Countdown to Christmas #9 project. I will tell you the supplies I used that were different: Jayne's Type alphabet for the initial #114401 , the 1" circle punch #119868, the large oval punch #119855 and the Champagne Fine Galaxy Glitter #114286. Punch Art Santa Box

These adorable Bitty Boxes were inspired by Creations by Patti Lee (directions can be found on Patti's blog). The only thing I did differently was I used the new Red Glimmer Paper #121790 $3.95 (2 sheets) to cover the top of the box. I am so excited about this paper. It's covered in red glitter and it doesn't rub off. No glitter flaking off, no glitter everywhere and you can cut it with any of our dies, you can cut it with our punches or use our paper trimmer. It's so nice to have a beautiful glitter paper that doesn't create a mess by getting glitter all over everything. I sure hope Stampin' Up! will create more colors in the future.

This is a really cute card and so very easy to make. The inspiration came from Connie Babbert, I believe. The patterns for how you fold the 1/2 circle is on her blog. I used a sheet of Pear Pizzaz from the Hostess In-Color paper stack. It is studded with an assortment of the new glimmer brads. The card layers are real red and Whisper White CS embossed with the Big Shot and the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. It's ties with a beautiful real red Grosgrain ribbon.

Here is a sneak peak from the upcoming Occasions Mini at one of the new GO-R-G-E-O-U-S stamp sets called Build a Blossom #121994c $18.95. The lovely card was made using a technique I had never tried before. Cardstock used was Cherry Cobbler #119685 $6.95 and Blushing Bride #119796 $6.95. The Hydranga from the Level I Hostess Stamp set Because I Care # 120118 was colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons (now Available p. 194 $16.95) and misted with Frost White Shimmer Paint #116854 $5.95 mixed with a few drops rubbing alcohol. Once the image was stamped, I used a 2-way glue pen #100425 $3.50 to add Dazzling Diamonds #102023 $4.50 to the leaves and flower centers.

Well I fell in love with this little guy one day last week. I was checking out blogs and came across the cutest elf on Marie Shaughnessy's blog. Manhattan Flower - Happy Birthday to a Dear, Dear Friend

My Life has been enriched with many opportunities and with many people through stamping and being a part of the Stampin' Up! Family. Stamping has brought a closeness with many friends all through the love of stamping and bring creative. There is one special friend that I met just a couple of months ago. He name is Carrie and today is her birthday. I won't tell you how old she is (but shhhhhhh don't tell anyone, she is celebrating the 11th anniversary of her 29th Birthday). Recently she signed up as my one of downline, but regardless whether she had joined my team or not, she has become one of my closest and dearest friends. We are constantly realizing that we have so many things in common. This candle and matching card are her Birthday present. I've already given it to her, so you won't spoil any surprise if you wish her Happy Birthday. Markers on the Edge Technique Video

Christmas Postcard

This was a really fun card to make and very easy to make. In case you're asking yourself, "does Sherry like glitter", you only have to look at the last few posts to find the answer. Well, YES I love glitter. And I'm loving the Chunky Glitter #108797 $15.95 (4 colors) that SU makes. The sparkle is so pretty, no matter what color I use or how I use it. I started out stamping the Christmas Postcard stamp #121428 $9.95 in Black StazOn #101406 $7.95 and coloring the image using the Stampin' Write Markers #119806 $109.95 (38 markers). I covered the colored image with VersaMark #102283 $7.50 and the Heat and Stick powder #100625 $4.50, and get set with the Heat Tool #100005 $29.95. Then I added the clear Chucky Glitter over the entire colored image. I cut the image out using the Oval Frame Sizzix Die #114521 $19.95 and the Big Shot #113439 $99.95. I placed the image so that the inside oval would cut out the image. I framed the oval with 2 of the large scalloped circles from the Scallop Circles #2 Die #113469 $19.95 I used a 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 " piece of Very Vanilla #101650 $8.50 for the card base. I folded the card at 3", creating an offset opening. On the 3" side I glues down a scrap piece of the Deck The Halls DSP #120810 $9.95. To finish the card I placed it in the middle over lapping the 3" edge, allowing for a unique way to open the card....and a very good way to use scrap piece of card stock and DSP.

I hope you think this tag is as cute as I do. I had so much fun making it. The Owl Punch #118074 $16.95 can be used to create so many adorable characters. It just make me smile every time I use it. I used the Two Tags Sizzix Die #115954 $21.95 as the base for the tag and put the Snowflake #2 #113460 $15.95 cut with the Big Shot #113439 $99.95 and covered in Chunky Glitter #108797 $15.95 to add a little substance to the tag. I think this would also make an adorable decoration for the tree as well as a tag for a gift. The tree is from Fast and Fun Notes Stamp Set #113500 $33.95. I stamped it in StazOn #101406 $7.95 and colored it with ink and a blender pen #102845 $9.95. I went back with the 2-way glue pen #100425 $3.50 and added some glitter from the Fine Galaxy#114286 $13.95 and Fine Supernova #114287 $13.95 Glitter Collections. Santa is made from Real Red #102482 $6.95, Whisper White #100730 $8.50 and Basic Black #121045 $6.95 CS. His hat is made from the wing in the 2 step bird punch #117191 $16.95. Santa's bag of goodies is made from Chocolate Chip #102128 $6.96 CS and the Wide Oval Punch #119859 $16.95 and then edge of the Scallop Square Punch #119884 $16.95. Santa's bag is tied up with Linen Thread #104199 $4.50. The "ho ho ho" was stamped using the Rough Type (which I now realize is retired, sorry) Stamp Set.

Chunky Snowflake

This card was so easy to make I am almost embarrassed to post it. But it is so gorgeous I just had to share. I used the negative to the Snowflake #2 die #113460 $15.95. I cut it from a piece of cardboard covered with Bashful Blue CS #105120 $6.95. Once I cut out the snowflake (to use on a project you'll see tomorrow) I decided I just couldn't throw the negative image away, so I covered it with Two-Way Glue Pen #100425 $3.50, then sprinkled chunky silver glitter #108797 $15.95 all over. Once it was dry, I mounted it on a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of Brushed Silver CS #100712 $7.95. To get the White Organza ribbon this luscious color of blue, I used the Bashful Blue ink pad #105209 $5.95 and a sponge wedge to apply ink to the ribbon. When it was dry, I wrapped it around the Brushed Silver CS and tied it in a bow. I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Season Level 2 Hostess Stamp Set in VersaMark ink #102283 $7.50 on Bashful Blue CS and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder #109131 $4.75 using the Heat Tool #100005 $29.95. I cut the sentiment out using the Ovals Sizzix Die #114525 $15.95. Using the two-way Glue Pen around the edge, I added the Chunky Silver Glitter to tie the card altogether.

Thanksgiving Pumpkin

I just wanted to take the opportunity to "Thank" everyone who visits my blog. I never realized when I started blogging that so many people would actually want to look at my work. I wanted to do a Christmas card, but I wanted to do a card with non-traditional colors. I just love the richness of Rich Razzleberry Textured CS #119942 $6.95. I also used Basic Black # 121045 $6.95 as my first layer. I used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335 $7.95 to add texture to the Rich Razzleberry layer. I cut a Scallop Circle in Whisper White #100730 $8.50 using the Scallop Circle #2 Sizzix Die #113469 $19.95. Then used my Circle Scissor Plus #112530 $29.95 (and the glass cutting mat #112531 $19.95) to cut a 3" circle out of the textured Rich Razzleberry. I stamped the Dove from the Peaceful Season (Hostess) stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink 115658 $5.95 and cut it out and popped it up opn dimensionals on top of the Season' Greeting's sentiment from the same set. I stamped it in VersaMark #102283 $7.50 Ink and heat set (Heat Tool #100005 $29.95) using Gold Embossing Powder #109129 $4.75. It is all tied up with a beautiful know made with 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319 $5.95.

Christmas Collage

This card it simply G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! I gold embossed the Christmas Collage #121279 stamp (found in the Holiday Mini Catalog) on Glossy CS #102599 $5.95 and heat set. Then brayered (brayer #102395 $12.50) Cherry Cobbler #119669 $6.95 and Pink Pirouette #111838 $6.95 ink to create the gradient effect of the colors. I stamped the '25' again and the sentiment from Sincere Salutations #115068 $23.95 in Cherry Cobbler and then covered them in VersaMark #102283 $7.50 and Iridescent Ice #101930 $4.75 embossing powder and heat set with the Stampin' Up heat tool #100005 $29.95. I really wanted to add some ribbon, but I didn't want to cover up any of the beautiful art on this stamp. So I just left it as is. This would be a stunning card to mass produce for your family and friends.

Courage

Update: I posted this card originally just a little less than a month ago. Sine then I have received many wonderful emails about my card and the thoughts that went with it. In light of this week we will be celebrating Veteran's Day.This is a card I have been wanting to do for a very long time. Just recently I was lucky enough to be able to get this stamp set and I couldn't wait to get some ink on it. You see, I travel a lot and every airport I am in I see men and women coming or going from their tour of duty. I always stop and tell them 'Thank You', but I have always wanted to do more to show my appreciation. I know that my little card won't really make a difference in the larger scheme of things....but I just want to do something more to show I appreciate their sacrifice.

This card was made with Always Artichoke and Black CS. I stamped the Courage stamp set in Black StazOn, colored the stamp with Stampin Write Markers and a white gel pen. Attached a piece of Always Artichoke Grosgrain ribbon and tacked it down with a corduroy brad that I colored with the Always Artichoke marker.

Owl Nurse

I knew instantly when I saw Jennifer Eby's recent card that I had to make this card. My daughter, who is an RN and Director of Nursing at a Nursing and Rehabilitation facility, just had major surgery on her neck last week. So this was the perfect card for her. Of course I used the Owl punch #118074 $16.95 to make the nurse. She is made with Crumb Cake #120953 $6.95 and Whisper White #10030 $8.50. Don't you just love her blue (Pacific Point #111350 $6.95) eye shadow and nurse's cap (the owl's vest) I giggled the whole time I was making this card. I had so much fun! The tree was cut freehand from Crumb Cake and sponged heavily with Early Espresso Ink #119670 $5.95. I took a pen on the backside of the limb and made the texture on it. The tree branches and leaves are from the 2-step bird punch #117191 $16.95. I used Glossy # 102599 $5.95 CS, Marina Mist Ink #119668 $5.95, a sponge #101610 $3.50 and a scalloped circle to create the sky background. I love making a sky like this. This is a very simple and fast card, but really is very pretty. I forget that I have this Sizzix die (Movers and Shapers #114506 $42.95 with the Holiday Windows Ornament #116821 $29.95). You can do so many thing with the windows that can be cut. I chose the ornament window to go with the ornament punch #119847 $16.95. I punched the ornaments out of Pear Pizzazz #119795 $6.95. I stamped the holly from Leaf Lines and added red Fine Galaxy Glitter pack #114286 $13.95. The sentiment is from the Hostess set Occasional Quotes #120142 and punched out with the Decorative Label punch #120907 $16.95. The border around the sentiment is designed from 2 of the Decorative Label punched designs and split into to create the enlarged border around the punch. It's all tied off with a piece of 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Real Red #119251 $5.95.

Deck the Halls with Peace and Joy

These cards use a piece of the Deck the Halls DSP. I used some scrap pieces I had left over from other projects. I tried 4 times this weekend to edit a video showing you how I made these cards, but 4 times I lost the video because the program crashed. So maybe later this week I will surprise you with a video if I can get it edited and posted without problems. I'm not usually a quitter, but today takes the cake. So, on to the card....Other than the DSP I used Very Vanilla #101650 $8.50 and Cherry Cobbler #119685 $6.95 CS. I stamped the Very Vanilla background with the Elements of Style flourish #120045 $19.95, and sponged all edges with Crumb Cake ink #121030 and a sponge #101610 $3.50. It's all tied up with a beautiful bow made from 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Old Olive #115618 $9.95 and a gorgeous flower made using the Circles #2 Sizzix Die #114526 $ 15.95 and synthetic fabric. I learned to make this flower from Tammy Fite's Christmas Newsletter.

Presto - Delightful Decorations

This card really was so it and fast. It was like snapping your fingers and Presto! I used the Presto Patterns DSP #117175, $11.95 as the background layer on top of Old Olive CS #100702, $6.95 The layer with the Delightful Decorations #116517, $21.95 is gold embossing powder on vellum. The card was dressed up with basic pearls #1192 47, $4.95 and 3/8"Certainly Celery Taffeta ribbon #118863, $6.95.

Presto Patterns - Christmas Candles All a Glo

The idea for this card came from a Christmas newsletter I received from Terri at Nutz About Stamping. She is so creative. She even does a video every Sunday using the Big Shot. I so look forward to her videos. This card highlights a unique way to use the Decorative Edge #120907, $16.95 punch to make the candles. In her newsletter she used the small end of the punch to make 3 candles on her card. I used the long edge to make a wider candle and used the design on a scrap of Presto Patterns DSP #117175, $11.95 to add interest to my candle design (Cherry Cobbler ink #119669, $5.95 and a sponge #101610, $3.50 to add the color). I used a piece or Presto Patterns also for the background (Old Olive #102277 ink $5.95 and a sponge #101610, $3.50 to add the color). The holly leaves come form the Peaceful Season #121124 Hostess set. It was all wrapped up in a piece or 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon # 119771, $9.95 and tied in a beautiful bow, then mounted on a base of Old Olive #100702, $6.95 CS on the Whisper White #100730, $8.50 card base.

This is a total case of a card that Lynn Pratt posted a couple of days ago. I thought it was so cute. It just made me smile. I didn't have the exact colors she used, so I changed the turkey up a bit and gave him some colored tail feathers. I also used a blushing bride and Chocolate chip color scheme. Owl Punch - Whooooooos's Been Good

(Inspired by Mary K. Jones ) This is a great gift idea. The Santa Owl was made using the SU Owl Punch #1189074 $16.95. Other punches used were 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, Decorative Label Punch #120907 $16.95. I just used scraps of Real Red, Basic Black, Old Olice and Whisper White CS p. 166-169 2010-2011 IBC. I used the wing from the 2-step Bird Punch #117191 for the cap and the Word Window #119857 punch (modified) for the fur on the cap.

Fast & Fabulous

This is the card we did in our technique class tonight where we learned to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig. It used the Fast & Fabulous #120133 Level 2 Hostess stamp set from Stampin' Up!s 2010-2011 IBC. The sentiment is from Favorite Thoughts #120048 (personally one of my favorite sentiment sets). We used Cherry Cobbler #119685, Pear Pizzaz #119795 and Whisper White #100730 CS as well as Basic Black #101179 and Cherry Cobbler #119669 ink. We also used the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker #119681 to Spritz the image and the Pear Pizzaz Marker #119801 (set of 5 In-Colors) to color the green leaves and stems. Then added a touch of Pear Pizzaz ribbon #119265. Want to know how I made the decorative edge to my sentiment? Sparkle on Deck the Halls

This card is so beautiful in real life. I used another scrap of Deck the Halls DSP # 120810 and strategically placed the top layer onto Old Olive #100702 CS which I mounted on Very Vanilla #101650 CS. Then I cut out two sets of poinsettias in detail, brushed them with Versamark #102193, covered them in Heat and Stick Powder #100625, then set with the heat tool#100005. I then added Dazzling Diamonds #102023. Dimensionals #104430 were added between the two layers of poinsettias then added to the card with dimensionals to give added dimension to the overall card.

Just Believe

This is a great card to do at a workshop to introduce the new CS colors to your stamping customers. The stamp is from the new Just Believe set. The sentiment was inked using Stampin Write Markers #119806. The scrap strips of CS were punched using an old standby of mine, the Eyelet Border punch #119853. For interest I added some of the clear Bitty Buttons #118761. It a nice crips, clean looking card and a great way to also use up scrap strips of CS

Deck the Halls

This very blingy 4x4" card was designed to use a small left over scrap of the Deck the Halls DSP #120810. I cut around the image and placed it on top of a Cherry Cobbler #119685 frame which was mounted on top on a Crumb Cake #120953 and another Cherry Cobbler mat. It was decked out with rhinestones #119246 and a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370.

Teddy Bear on a Onesie

This is the cutest Card. Perfect for a baby shower or baby announcement. No babies in my family right now....so I guess I'll just have to keep this one. I've seen many versions of this card on blogs all over the web, so I can't remember who I got the idea from. However, the punch art teddy bear on the front was something I came up with. Isn't it just the cutest thing....and can you tell what in it's mouth? A pacifier, cute huh? Look at those tiny little toes....just makes you giggle doesn't it! The base card is Whisper White CS #100730, trimmed in the Blushing Bride DSP out of the Hostess In-Color paper pack. I used 1 1/4" circle #119861 and scallop circle #119854 punches to cut out the trim for the neck and legs. Punched 1/4" circles for the snaps at the bottom. The sentiment is from Hostess gift Occasional Quotes. Video on how to make the bear will be coming this weekend.
